Barbara E. Lusky
Since 1982, Barbara E. Lusky has represented clients in a wide range of family law and estate planning matters, including divorce-related issues such as property division, spousal support, and child support; non-traditional family law matters such as cohabitation and partnership agreements; and wills and estates, powers of attorney, trusts, and probate matters. As a skilled negotiator and an experienced litigator, Barbara is sensitive to the fact that family law and estate planning matters can be highly emotional for both individuals and their families, and works to provide compassionate, personalized representation to every client she takes on.
Barbara has been licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois since 1982, and opened her office in Skokie in 1985. In 1975, she obtained her Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University, continuing on to earn her Juris Doctorate from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago in 1982. She is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, and is a frequent speaker at seminars regarding family law and estate planning issues.
Outside of her legal practice, Barbara is an active member of the community in which she resides. For ten years, she served the Wilmette community by acting as a Commissioner on the Transportation Commission. She has also served for over ten years on the Board of Directors of The Lilac Tree, an organization based in Evanston that assists women who are facing the prospect of divorce, in the process of divorce, or dealing with post-divorce issues.
Barbara is married and the mother of two grown sons.
